Happy Fall, everyone! Isn't it exciting when a new season rolls around? I love autumn (except for the ragweed that makes me crazy all season.) But I will endure it for the beauty of the day. We have put up our fall decor, and I thought I'd share it with you. We recycle. You will see the same things every season with maybe a new vase or two (note mantle), but we just put them in different places each year, and it makes us feel like we have new stuff! For us it's eye candy!
That's a picture frame in the fireplace surround. Guess it will have to go if we light a fire this winter!
The branches are twigs from the yard with Dollar Tree leaves hot glued onto them!
A closer look at the new vases (a gift from a friend) and the hot glued twigs
See the little ducks? There are 13 ducklings--one for each grandchild! Also a gift from a friend. Don't you love friends? And the birdhouse is a granddaughter original.
Note the picture. A piece of burlap with a Dollar Tree leaf. The word "feuille" is French for leaf. Quick and easy little addition to the arrangement over the stereo cabinet.
Do you think the arrangement is too big for the serving cart?
Another granddaughter painted the picture.
The picture turned out a little dark, but I like the piano arrangement.
Be it ever so humble, there's no place like home.
Enjoy the beauty of God's creation with me as we stroll through autumn!
