Let All the People Praise Him

    May God be gracious to us and bless us
        and make his face to shine upon us, Selah
    that your way may be known on earth,
        your saving power among all nations.
    Let the peoples praise you, O God;
        let all the peoples praise you!
Psalm 67:1-3 ESV

 Interesting concept here, isn't it?  The psalmist is asking God to shine on His people. For what reason?  "That your way may be known on earth, your saving power among all the nations."  God's grace and blessing has an ultimate motive--that He will be known and recognized in the earth.  How does that come about?  The next verse says, "Let the peoples praise you, O God; let all the peoples praise you!"

I can only believe that God's glory is revealed to the nations, to the unbelieving people, as we praise Him for who He is and what He has done through the Lord Jesus Christ--out loud, where we are heard and seen.  Our praises personally to God are vastly important.  And yet so are our praises about Him.

Let's all find at least one person today to whom we may sing (or speak!) the praises of our glorious God.

Praising Him,
Gloria
