Are You Amazed?

Enjoy this beautiful song and video by Phillips, Craig and Dean.

I spent the weekend with an allergy attack, but I am not complaining, because my precious friend Angie, who is permanently (until Glory!) confined to a wheelchair and can only speak in a whisper, never, ever complains about her condition. Our church had its annual talent show on New Year's Eve, and Angie said that she was planning to go. I wrote her and encouraged her not to go since almost everyone in our small congregation had had a stomach virus. She came anyway, so wanting to be a part of the fun and fellowship. I'm just trusting God to keep her well. Angie is my role model, and I am so grateful that God put her in my life. Thank you, Lord, and thank you, Angie, for being such a special friend.

My daughter posted the most beautiful post this morning, and being the illiterate blogger that I am, I can't put her button on my blog without my granddaughter, who is at home and not here this morning. So I am going to tell you how to find her blog, but I'm not sure that you will be able to just click and go. You may have to copy and paste, because I haven't quite figured out how to do it the other way. All that being said, it's

I know she's my daughter, but it is just a delightful hodge-podge of thoughts, memories, ideas, etc. Click on there and see if you enjoy it as much as I do. It may just be a mom's enjoyment of her daughter's thoughts. On the other hand, it may be REALLY GOOD STUFF!

Have a great Monday!

I'll be sure to check out your daughter's blog! And even though I got that Stollen recipe from the web, it really is worth making. I put some fresh-from-the-oven pieces in the freezer, just in case company stops by... :-)

Quick note: I visited your daughter's blog but the page wouldn't finish loading so that I could leave a comment. I'll try again later.

Yes, Gloria, it's me again. :-) I wanted you to know that, although it seems to be hidden to the naked eye, our church also has begun putting our pastor's sermons on VIDEO. The only place I see a link is on the first page, under the red bar, 'News.' Two entries down is the word 'video' in a blue link. It opens up to several of the sermons on video. Unfortunately, every single one of them has about a two-minute sort of ad for the sermons. I'm trying to think of a nice way to suggest they remove that and just get right to the sermon. Steve is just an awesome expository teacher!

Hi, Gloria!

I am dropping by to thank you for visting me at my blog, and I've enjoyed reading yours. You have such a beautiful family, and I love how you have tea parties with your granddaughters to teach them Biblical principles. That is just the best!

I'm wishing you a very Happy New Year, filled with all the blessings your heart can hold. And I hope you are feeling better from your allergies soon. Renewed health to you!

Oh, and the house in the shots is in St. Augustine on the East Coast, though I grew up going to the Gulf. It was built in the 1800's. Instead of a beach house getaway, we decided to buy a town house because we spent so much time in the historic district. It's been a blessing to us and hopefully to others.

My cousin's wife grew up near Pine Bluff. Her mother died, and they have kept her retirement house which I think it on the Arkansas River. Does that make sense? Anyhow, Arkansas is a pretty state!

XO,

Sheila :-)

Hi, Gloria!

You need to be signed into your Google Account to do this, and then you can see the words above the headers on blogs.

Just above the header on any Blogger Blog is a bar that from left to right has a white "B" in an orange box, then a search space with a little magnifying glass. Just next to that are the words:

Follow, Share, Report Abuse, Next Blog.

If you click on the word "Follow," it will bring up an option for you to follow my blog. Then you select follow publically, and you're good to go! :-)

You have to signed into Blogger (like you do when you post) and have to be on my blog to go through that procedure. You can also do it on other people's blogs, too. That's how I sign onto being a follower which I have become of your blog.

If you are still having trouble, please email me, and we can try another route. Thanks so much for wanting to follow me. I'm honored!

XO,

Sheila :-)

Losing one's credit card in Paris would definitely elicit a panic moment! Praise God that he watches over His children and makes honest people keep track of our Visa and Travelcards. :-)

Gloria,

So glad you found it! YEA! See, you did it without the grandgirl's help, all on your own. It takes time, but all of this gets easier. You're doing great!

XO,

Sheila :-)
